Occupations Code § 206.209","heading":"ISSUANCE AND RENEWAL OF LICENSE.","body":"(a) The medical board shall issue a surgical assistant license in this state to a person who meets the requirements of this chapter and the rules adopted under this chapter.\n(b) The medical board may delegate authority to board employees to issue licenses under this chapter to applicants who clearly meet all licensing requirements. If the medical board employees determine that the applicant does not clearly meet all licensing requirements, the application shall be returned to the medical board. A license issued under this subsection does not require formal medical board approval.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1014, Sec. 1, eff.
