Occupations Code § 2153.053","heading":"DISCIPLINARY AUTHORITY.","body":"(a) The comptroller may:\n(1) conduct an investigation, hold a hearing, or take other necessary action to:\n(A) ensure compliance with this chapter; or\n(B) identify a violation of this chapter;\n(2) conduct an investigation of a violation of this chapter, or a rule adopted under this chapter, committed by a person who owns, operates, exhibits, or displays a coin-operated machine in this state;\n(3) deny an application for a license or registration certificate in accordance with Subchapter G; or\n(4) impose sanctions, including suspending or revoking a person's license, registration certificate, or tax permit in accordance with Subchapter G.\n(b) If the comptroller finds that a person has violated a penal provision of this chapter, the comptroller may file a complaint with the appropriate prosecuting attorney in the county in which the violation occurred.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
