Occupations Code § 2301.257","heading":"APPLICATION FOR DEALER'S LICENSE.","body":"(a) An application for a dealer's license must be on a form prescribed by the department. The application must include:\n(1) the information required by Chapter 503, Transportation Code; and\n(2) information the board determines by rule is necessary to determine the applicant's qualifications to adequately serve the public.\n(b) If a material change occurs in the information included in an application for a dealer's license, the dealer shall notify the department of the change within a reasonable time. The department shall prescribe a form for the disclosure of the change.\n(c) A franchised dealer must apply for a separate license under this section for each separate and distinct dealership showroom as determined by the department. Before changing a location, a dealer must obtain a new license for that location.\n(d) The act of filing an application under this section or a form prescribed under this section does not establish the applicant as a franchised dealer.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1421, Sec. 5, eff.
