Occupations Code § 2310.157","heading":"APPLICATION FOR LICENSE.","body":"(a) An applicant for a license under this subchapter must submit to the department:\n(1) an application form prescribed by the department;\n(2) any other information required by the department; and\n(3) a fee in an amount set by the department.\n(b) The department shall conduct a criminal background check on each applicant who submits an application for a license under this subchapter and on any controlling person of the applicant. The department may, as permitted by law:\n(1) examine any criminal conviction, guilty plea, or deferred adjudication of the applicant or controlling person; and\n(2) obtain any criminal history or record of the applicant or controlling person.\nAdded by Acts 2019, 86th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1219 (S.B. 2119), Sec. 1, eff.
