Occupations Code § 258.052","heading":"CASE HISTORIES AND PHYSICAL EVALUATIONS.","body":"(a) A dentist may take a complete case history and perform a complete physical evaluation that may be used to admit a patient to a hospital for the practice of dentistry if the activity is necessary in the exercise of due care in the practice of dentistry.\n(b) A dentist is not automatically entitled to membership on a hospital's medical staff or to exercise clinical privileges at a hospital solely because the dentist is licensed in this state or because the dentist is authorized to take a case history and perform a physical evaluation.\n(c) A dentist may not be denied membership on a hospital's medical staff or the right to the exercise of clinical privileges at a hospital solely because the person is a dentist rather than a physician.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
