Occupations Code § 351.2595","heading":"LICENSE WITHOUT EXAMINATION.","body":"The board may issue a license to practice therapeutic optometry without requiring the applicant to pass all or part of the examination required by Section 351.253 if:\n(1) the applicant is licensed in good standing as a therapeutic optometrist in another state;\n(2) the applicant has passed an examination that is equivalent or superior to the examination required by Section 351.253;\n(3) during at least five of the seven years preceding the application date, the applicant has been:\n(A) actively engaged in the practice of therapeutic optometry; or\n(B) engaged in full-time teaching at an accredited college of optometry or medicine;\n(4) there are no pending disciplinary actions against the applicant in the state in which the applicant is licensed; and\n(5) the applicant's license has never been suspended or revoked.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1420, Sec. 14.156(a), eff.
