Occupations Code § 351.307","heading":"GOVERNMENTAL SERVICE, TRAINING, OR EDUCATION.","body":"An optometrist or therapeutic optometrist may obtain reinstatement of an expired license without paying a lapsed renewal fee or other fee and without passing an examination if:\n(1) the license holder's license expired while the license holder was engaged in:\n(A) active duty with a United States military service or with the United States Public Health Service;\n(B) full-time federal service; or\n(C) training or education under the supervision of the United States, before induction into a United States military service;\n(2) termination of the license holder's service, training, or education occurred other than by dishonorable discharge; and\n(3) not later than the first anniversary of the date of termination of the service, training, or education, the license holder provides the board with an affidavit stating that:\n(A) the license holder was engaged in the service, training, or education; and\n(B) termination of the service, training, or education occurred other than by dishonorable discharge.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
