Occupations Code § 351.451","heading":"PROHIBITED TREATMENT BY LICENSE HOLDER.","body":"(a) An optometrist or therapeutic optometrist may not provide a person with treatment except as authorized by law.\n(b) An optometrist or therapeutic optometrist who violates Subsection (a) is considered to be practicing medicine without a license and, in addition to the penalties prescribed for a violation of this chapter, is subject to the penalty for the practice of medicine without a license.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
