Occupations Code § 351.607","heading":"DISPENSING CONTACT LENSES; PENALTY.","body":"(a) A person commits an offense if the person dispenses a contact lens by mail or otherwise to a patient in this state without having a valid prescription signed by an optometrist, therapeutic optometrist, or licensed physician.\n(b) An offense under Subsection (a) is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of $1,000 for each lens dispensed.
