Occupations Code § 501.054","heading":"TERMS; VACANCY.","body":"(a) Members of the board serve staggered six-year terms, with the terms of three members expiring October 31 of each odd-numbered year.\n(b) A member who is appointed for a term of less than six years may be reappointed to one successive full six-year term. A member who is appointed for a full six-year term may not be reappointed for the six years following the expiration of the member's term.\n(c) If a vacancy occurs during a member's term, the governor shall appoint a replacement to fill the unexpired term.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
