Occupations Code § 502.055","heading":"OFFICERS.","body":"(a) The governor shall designate a board member as the presiding officer. The presiding officer serves in that capacity at the will of the governor.\n(b) At the meeting of the board held closest to August 31 of each year, the board shall elect one of its members as the assistant presiding officer.
