Occupations Code § 502.251","heading":"LICENSE REQUIRED.","body":"(a) A person may not practice as a marriage and family therapist unless the person holds a license under this chapter or is exempt under Section 502.004.\n(b) A person may not use the title \"licensed marriage and family therapist\" or \"licensed marriage and family therapist associate,\" as appropriate, unless the person is licensed under this chapter.\n(c) A person may not use a title that implies that the person is licensed or certified in marriage and family therapy unless the person is:\n(1) licensed under this chapter; or\n(2) authorized to perform marriage and family therapy in the course and scope of another license issued under a law of this state.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
