Occupations Code § 51.201","heading":"GENERAL POWERS AND DUTIES OF COMMISSION.","body":"(a) The commission shall:\n(1) supervise the executive director's administration of the department;\n(2) formulate the policy objectives for the department; and\n(3) approve the department's operating budget and the department's requests for legislative appropriations.\n(b) The commission:\n(1) may adopt rules as necessary for its own procedures; and\n(2) shall adopt rules as necessary to implement this chapter.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
