Occupations Code § 53.003","heading":"LEGISLATIVE INTENT; LIBERAL CONSTRUCTION OF SUBCHAPTER.","body":"(a) It is the intent of the legislature to enhance opportunities for a person to obtain gainful employment after the person has:\n(1) been convicted of an offense; and\n(2) discharged the sentence for the offense.\n(b) This chapter shall be liberally construed to carry out the intent of the legislature.\nAdded by Acts 2019, 86th Leg., R.S., Ch. 765 (H.B. 1342), Sec. 4, eff.
