Occupations Code § 53.101","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this subchapter:\n(1) \"License\" means a license, certificate, registration, permit, or other authorization that:\n(A) is issued by a licensing authority; and\n(B) a person must obtain to practice or engage in a particular business, occupation, or profession.\n(2) \"Licensing authority\" means a department, commission, board, office, or other agency of the state that issues a license.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 616 (H.B. 963), Sec. 1, eff.
