Occupations Code § 602.2521","heading":"INFORMAL PROCEDURES.","body":"(a) The medical board by rule shall adopt procedures governing:\n(1) informal disposition of a contested case under Section 2001.056, Government Code; and\n(2) informal proceedings held in compliance with Section 2001.054, Government Code.\n(b) Rules adopted under Subsection (a) must:\n(1) provide the complainant, if applicable and permitted by law, an opportunity to be heard;\n(2) provide the license holder an opportunity to be heard; and\n(3) require the medical board's legal counsel or a representative of the attorney general to be present to advise the medical board or the medical board's employees.\n(c) Chapters 551 and 552, Government Code, do not apply to an investigation file and investigative information in the possession of or used by the medical board in an informal proceeding under this section.\nAdded by Acts 2015, 84th Leg., R.S., Ch. 838 (S.B. 202), Sec. 2.083, eff.
