Occupations Code § 605.257","heading":"TEMPORARY LICENSE.","body":"(a) The department may issue a temporary license to an individual who:\n(1) has applied for a license as an orthotist, prosthetist, or both;\n(2) has regularly practiced orthotics, prosthetics, or both for the five years preceding the date of the application; and\n(3) has been licensed by a state that has license requirements that are equal to or exceed the requirements of this chapter.\n(b) A temporary license is valid for one year from the date issued. A temporary license may be renewed for not more than one additional year if the applicant presents evidence sufficient to the department of good cause for renewal.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
