Occupations Code § 651.255","heading":"EXAMINATIONS REQUIRED FOR FUNERAL DIRECTOR'S LICENSE.","body":"The commission shall administer or arrange for the administration of:\n(1) a written professionally prepared examination on:\n(A) the art and technique of funeral directing;\n(B) the signs of death;\n(C) the manner by which death may be determined;\n(D) sanitation and hygiene;\n(E) mortuary management and mortuary law;\n(F) business and professional ethics; and\n(G) other subjects that may be taught in a recognized school or college of mortuary science; and\n(2) a written examination developed by the commission or developed for the commission by contract on:\n(A) laws applicable to vital statistics pertaining to dead human bodies; and\n(B) local and state rules and laws relating to the preparation, transportation, care, and disposition of dead human bodies.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
