Occupations Code § 702.501","heading":"FILING OF SUIT; VENUE.","body":"(a) A member may file suit against a seller if:\n(1) the seller violates this chapter; and\n(2) the seller's violation causes injury to the member.\n(b) Venue for a suit filed under Subsection (a) is in a court located in:\n(1) Travis County; or\n(2) the county in which:\n(A) the seller resides;\n(B) the seller's principal place of business is located;\n(C) the seller is doing business;\n(D) the member resides; or\n(E) the transaction that is the subject of the suit occurred.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
