Occupations Code § 702.553","heading":"AMOUNT OF CIVIL PENALTY.","body":"(a) Except as provided by Subsection (b) and Section 702.554, a person who violates this chapter is subject to a civil penalty in an amount not to exceed $1,000 for a single violation.\n(b) If more than one civil penalty is assessed against the same person, the total amount of civil penalties assessed may not exceed $25,000.\nActs 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
