Occupations Code § 802.055","heading":"CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS.","body":"The department shall conduct a criminal background check on each applicant who submits an application for a license under this chapter and on any controlling person of the applicant. The department may, as permitted by law:\n(1) examine any criminal conviction, guilty plea, or deferred adjudication of the applicant or controlling person; and\n(2) obtain any criminal history or record of the applicant or controlling person.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 1284 (H.B. 1451), Sec. 2, eff.
