Parks and Wildlife Code § 31.050 (2)","heading":"FORM OF MANUFACTURER'S AND IMPORTER'S CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN.","body":"Text of section effective on January 01, 2028\n(a) A manufacturer's or importer's certificate of origin must include:\n(1) a description of the vessel or outboard motor as required by Section 31.047(b)(2);\n(2) the name and place of construction or other origin;\n(3) the signature of the manufacturer or an equivalent of the signature of the manufacturer; and\n(4) the endorsement of the original and each subsequent transferee, including the applicant for the original certificate of title.\n(b) A lien, security interest, or other encumbrance may not be shown on a manufacturer's or importer's certificate of origin.\n(c) A security interest in a vessel or outboard motor held as inventory by a person who is in the business of selling or leasing goods of that kind may be perfected only by complying with Chapter 9, Business \u0026 Commerce Code.\nAdded by Acts 1977, 65th Leg., p. 1253, ch. 484, Sec. 1(e), eff.
