Parks and Wildlife Code § 62.016","heading":"COMPETITIVE HUNTING DOG EVENTS.","body":"The department may permit a person to hold or participate in a competitive hunting dog field trial, in an area controlled by the department and designated by the commission as a public hunting area if:\n(1) a participant in the event is prohibited from:\n(A) using a firearm in the event; or\n(B) taking the wildlife that is the object of the event; and\n(2) the event does not deter other persons from hunting during a designated hunting season.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 372, Sec. 1, eff.
