Property Code § 53.082","heading":"TIME FOR WHICH FUNDS ARE WITHHELD.","body":"Unless the claim is otherwise settled, discharged, indemnified against under Subchapter H or I, or determined to be invalid by a final judgment of a court, the owner shall retain the funds withheld until:\n(1) the time for filing the affidavit of mechanic's lien has passed; or\n(2) if a lien affidavit has been filed, the lien claim has been satisfied or released.\nActs 1983, 68th Leg., p. 3544, ch. 576, Sec. 1, eff.
