Property Code § 70.104","heading":"PERSONS WHO MAY BIND VESSEL.","body":"(a) The following persons are presumed to be authorized by the owner of a vessel to incur charges that give rise to a lien under this subchapter:\n(1) the managing owner;\n(2) the ship's husband;\n(3) the master;\n(4) the local agent; and\n(5) a person entrusted with management of the vessel at the port of supply.\n(b) A person tortiously or unlawfully in possession or charge of a vessel may not bind the vessel.\nActs 1983, 68th Leg., p. 3583, ch. 576, Sec. 1, eff.
