Property Code § 74.707","heading":"WAIVER OR ABATEMENT OF PENALTY OR INTEREST.","body":"(a) The comptroller may waive penalty or interest, in whole or in part, imposed on delinquent property if the comptroller determines that the holder has made a good faith effort to comply with Chapters 72-75, or for other good cause.\n(b) The comptroller may provide for periods during which a holder of delinquent property may report and remit the unclaimed property without paying a penalty or interest.\n(c) The comptroller may waive penalty and interest imposed on delinquent property if the holder delivering the property was required to deliver the property on or before November 1, 1997.\nAdded by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1037, Sec. 36, eff.
