Property Code § 76.503","heading":"HEARING.","body":"(a) The treasurer of the holder may hold a hearing and receive evidence concerning a claim filed under this subchapter.\n(b) If the treasurer of the holder considers that a hearing is necessary to determine the validity of a claim, the treasurer of the holder shall sign the statement of the findings and the decision on the claim. The statement shall report the substance of the evidence heard and the reasons for the decision. The statement is a public record.\n(c) If the treasurer of the holder determines that a claim is valid, the treasurer of the holder shall approve and sign the claim.\nAdded by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1037, Sec. 38, eff.
