Special District Local Laws Code § 1001.062","heading":"HEALTH CARE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS.","body":"(a) The board may spend district money, enter into an agreement, or take other necessary action to conduct, participate in, or assist in providing health care educational programs for:\n(1) the public; or\n(2) current or potential medical staff members or district employees.\n(b) The board may contract with West Texas A\u0026M University or another educational institution for:\n(1) the coordination of educational programs in recognized health care professions, including pharmacy, nursing, and allied health professions, to be conducted by each; and\n(2) cooperative funding of the educational programs.\n(c) The district may provide services, money, or equipment and may make district facilities available to West Texas A\u0026M University or another educational institution for clinical instruction, research, or degree programs.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 729 (H.B. 2019), Sec. 1.01, eff.
