Special District Local Laws Code § 1005.055","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) To be a candidate for or to serve as a director, a person must be:\n(1) a resident of the district; and\n(2) a qualified voter.\n(b) An employee of the district or an employee's spouse, child, parent, or parent-in-law may not serve as director.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 729 (H.B. 2019), Sec. 1.01, eff.
