Special District Local Laws Code § 1005.109","heading":"CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS.","body":"(a) The board may enter into construction contracts for the district.\n(b) The board may enter into a construction contract that involves spending more than $10,000 only after competitive bidding as provided by Chapter 271, Local Government Code.\n(c) Chapter 2253, Government Code, as it relates to performance and payment bonds, applies to a construction contract let by the district.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 729 (H.B. 2019), Sec. 1.01, eff.
