Special District Local Laws Code § 1008.054","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) A person may not be elected or appointed as a director unless the person is:\n(1) a resident of the district; and\n(2) a qualified voter.\n(b) A person is not eligible to serve as a director if the person is:\n(1) the district administrator;\n(2) the attorney for the district; or\n(3) a district employee.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 729 (H.B. 2019), Sec. 1.01, eff.
