Special District Local Laws Code § 1009.252","heading":"TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR.","body":"(a) The tax assessor-collector of Cochran County shall collect taxes imposed by the district and promptly transfer the money collected to a district depository.\n(b) The assessor-collector shall receive the compensation provided for by contract with the district, except the compensation may not exceed the amount allowed for assessment and collection of county taxes.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 729 (H.B. 2019), Sec. 1.01, eff.
