Special District Local Laws Code § 1012.203","heading":"GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND ELECTION.","body":"(a) The district may issue general obligation bonds only if the bonds are authorized by a majority of the district voters voting at an election held for that purpose.\n(b) Section 41.001(a), Election Code, does not apply to a bond election ordered by the board.\n(c) Except as otherwise provided by this chapter, the election shall be conducted in accordance with Chapter 1251, Government Code.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff.
