Special District Local Laws Code § 1013.253","heading":"TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR.","body":"(a) The board may provide for the appointment of a tax assessor-collector for the district or may contract for the assessment and collection of taxes as provided by the Tax Code.\n(b) The tax assessor-collector shall assess and collect taxes imposed by the district.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff.
