Special District Local Laws Code § 1018.117","heading":"JOINT ADMINISTRATION OR DELIVERY OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES.","body":"(a) To provide joint administration or delivery of health care services, the district may contract with, affiliate with, have an ownership interest in, or enter into another arrangement with:\n(1) a managed care system;\n(2) a preferred provider organization;\n(3) a health maintenance organization;\n(4) a medical services organization;\n(5) another provider of alternative health care or delivery system; or\n(6) a private hospital.\n(b) The district may spend district money to establish, maintain, and have an ownership interest in a partnership, corporation, or other entity involved in the delivery of health care services.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff.
