Special District Local Laws Code § 1022.063","heading":"INDEPENDENT CONTRACTS.","body":"For any purpose permitted by applicable state law, the board may enter into an independent contract with:\n(1) a person licensed to practice medicine in this state;\n(2) a professional association that is organized under the Texas Professional Association Act (Article 1528f, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes); or\n(3) a nonprofit organization that is organized under and in compliance with Subchapter A, Chapter 162, Occupations Code.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff.
