Special District Local Laws Code § 1028.053","heading":"BALLOT PETITION.","body":"A person who wants to have the person's name printed on the ballot as a candidate for director must file with the board secretary a petition requesting that action. The petition must be:\n(1) signed by at least 15 registered voters of the district, as determined by the most recent official lists of registered voters; and\n(2) filed not later than the 46th day before the date of the election.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff.
