Special District Local Laws Code § 1030.051","heading":"BOARD ELECTION; TERM.","body":"(a) Unless the district's boundaries are expanded under Subchapter H, the district is governed by a board of seven directors.\n(b) Unless the district's boundaries are expanded under Subchapter H:\n(1) two directors are elected from each commissioners precinct and one director is elected from the district at large; and\n(2) the portion of Precinct 4 that is in the district is combined with Precinct 1 to represent one precinct.\n(c) Unless four-year terms are established under Section 285.081, Health and Safety Code:\n(1) directors serve staggered two-year terms; and\n(2) an election shall be held on the uniform election date in May of each year to elect the appropriate number of directors.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff.
