Special District Local Laws Code § 1031.053","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"To be eligible to serve as a director, a person must:\n(1) be a district resident; and\n(2) have resided in the district for at least six months immediately preceding the date on which the person:\n(A) files for election; or\n(B) is appointed or elected as provided by Section 1031.055, if filling a vacancy in the office of director.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff.
