Special District Local Laws Code § 1035.053","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) To be qualified to serve as a director, a person must:\n(1) reside in the district; and\n(2) be at least 21 years of age.\n(b) A person may not serve as a director if the person:\n(1) is a district employee; or\n(2) was a district employee at any time during the two years preceding the date of the election.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.01, eff.
