Special District Local Laws Code § 1036.054","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) To be eligible to be a candidate for or to serve as a director, a person must be:\n(1) a district resident; and\n(2) a qualified voter.\n(b) A person who is elected from a commissioners precinct or who is appointed to fill a vacancy for a commissioners precinct must be a resident of that commissioners precinct.\n(c) A district employee may not serve as a director.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff.
