Special District Local Laws Code § 1038.053","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) A person may not be elected or appointed as a director unless the person is:\n(1) a district resident; and\n(2) a qualified voter.\n(b) A person is not eligible to serve as a director if the person is:\n(1) the district administrator;\n(2) the attorney for the district; or\n(3) a district employee.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff.
