Special District Local Laws Code § 1043.053","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) A person may not be elected or appointed as a director unless the person is:\n(1) a district resident;\n(2) a qualified voter of the district; and\n(3) more than 21 years of age at the time of election or appointment.\n(b) A district employee may not serve as a director.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff.
