Special District Local Laws Code § 1049.053","heading":"BOND; RECORD OF BOND AND OATH OR AFFIRMATION OF OFFICE.","body":"(a) Each director shall qualify for office by executing a good and sufficient commercial bond for $1,000 that is:\n(1) payable to the district; and\n(2) conditioned on the faithful performance of the director's duties.\n(b) The district shall pay for a director's bond.\n(c) Each director's bond and constitutional oath or affirmation of office shall be deposited with the district's depository for safekeeping.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff.
