Special District Local Laws Code § 1050.054","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) A person is not qualified for appointment or election as a director unless the person:\n(1) is a district resident; and\n(2) is at least 18 years of age at the time of the appointment or election.\n(b) A person may not be appointed as a director for a commissioners precinct unless at the time of appointment the person is a resident of that commissioners precinct.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff.
