Special District Local Laws Code § 1056.101","heading":"DISTRICT RESPONSIBILITY.","body":"(a) The district shall admit patients to the hospital who are:\n(1) district inhabitants; and\n(2) able to pay for medical and hospital care.\n(b) The district has full responsibility for providing medical and hospital care for:\n(1) eligible needy district inhabitants who are not able to pay all or a part of the cost of the care; and\n(2) eligible needy and indigent district residents.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.01, eff.
