Special District Local Laws Code § 1058.053","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) To qualify for election to the board, a person must:\n(1) be at least 18 years of age;\n(2) have been a resident of the district for at least two years; and\n(3) be a qualified voter of the district.\n(b) An elective or appointed officer of this state or a political subdivision, including Upton County, is not qualified for election to the board.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 70 (S.B. 1147), Sec. 1.01, eff.
