Special District Local Laws Code § 1059.117","heading":"AUTHORITY TO SUE AND BE SUED.","body":"(a) The board may sue and be sued on behalf of the district.\n(b) The district may assert any defense or counterclaim the McCulloch County Hospital Authority could have asserted related to any debt that was:\n(1) incurred by the authority for hospital purposes; and\n(2) assumed by the district on the district's creation.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff.
