Special District Local Laws Code § 1061.054","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) A person may not be elected or appointed as a director unless the person is:\n(1) a resident of the district; and\n(2) more than 18 years of age when elected or appointed.\n(b) A person who is elected from a single-member district or is appointed to fill a vacancy for a single-member district must reside in that single-member district.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.01, eff.
