Special District Local Laws Code § 1063.053","heading":"BALLOT PETITION.","body":"A person who wants to have the person's name printed on the ballot as a candidate for director must file with the board secretary a petition requesting that action. The petition must be:\n(1) signed by at least 10 registered voters; and\n(2) filed by the deadline imposed by Section 144.005, Election Code.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.01, eff.
